Reframing health

With 14 years experience of working in the healthcare system as a nurse practitioner, Kirit has seen allopathic medicine do wonders for people’s quality of life, especially in acute situations. But modern medicine can’t address chronic illnesses where we often see a revolving door effect. These are lifestyle disorders and pharmaceuticals provide temporary symptom relief. This is where the core element of nursing that is health promotion, and the wide lens of Ayurveda that sees everything as part of nature, are best suited. Training as an Ayurvedic Health & Wellbeing Practitioner with Dr Champika Gallage, has meant unlearning a lot of the ways we are taught to think about the body and mind and relearning a truly holistic approach.

The result is a service that incorporates Ayurvedic principles with a modern approach to help you take control of your health.
