Uncovering imbalance: When the symptoms are unknown to us

The typical process of a consultation starts with a person telling the practitioner what their symptoms are, when they started and what they think aggravates or eases them. The practitioner might ask follow-up questions for clarification, ask the person to elaborate or carry out some physical examinations. Following all of that, a plan of action will be agreed. But, what if the person isn’t aware of their symptoms?

In this video, I give an example of a client who was aware of her physical symptoms but was not aware of another key symptom. It was only through feeling the opposite to what she had been feeling all this time that she was able to see it clearly for what it was.

Sometimes, we have to start on a path for things to become visible to us.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Have you ever come to a realisation of your symptoms or behaviours because how you are feeling or experincing things now is completely different to before?
